Guardiola reveals what Manchester City needs to arrest poor form

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has called on his players to stay committed and focused as they prepare to face Feyenoord in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Premier League champions have been struggling with injuries and poor form, leading to disappointing results in recent games. Guardiola believes the team needs to work harder to get back to winning ways.

“We can’t just rely on being ourselves; we have to show commitment every day,” Guardiola said. “We need to win one game to start turning things around. In some areas, we need more focus. These things happen, but life goes on.”

The City boss acknowledged that injuries to key players like Rodri and Ruben Dias have affected the team. “We usually play with four central defenders, but injuries have forced us to adjust. At times, we’ve had to use players like Ilkay Gundogan, our best-attacking midfielder, in a defensive role,” Guardiola explained.

Despite the challenges, Guardiola remains positive. “We’re creating chances but struggling in duels. We have to adapt and keep trying. If it’s not Tuesday, then Sunday, or the game after that. We’ll keep pushing,” he added.

Manchester City will aim to bounce back when they take on Feyenoord in Tuesday’s Champions League match.
