Pep Guardiola has revealed that the current Arsenal team is the best he has faced since he came to England.
Arsenal will battle it out with Guardiola’s men on Wednesday.
Mikel Arteta’s men enjoyed a good run of form in the first half of the season, but they have failed to win against Everton and Brentford.
A win for Manchester City will see them overtake the Gunners on the Premier League table.
When asked if this was the best Arsenal team he had faced, Guardiola said at his news conference on Tuesday: “Since I’m here, yeah, definitely.”
Guardiola said: “So far they are the best team in the Premier League. They played an incredible first round of fixtures.
“We felt it, when we played them a few weeks ago, how committed and how sharp they are.
“We have to try to read the game and it will be a big, big battle. In every department you have to be ready.”
Arsenal have lost 10 consecutive Premier League games against Manchester City, their longest losing run against one opponent in their league history.
