Guardiola vows City will give their best to clinch Premier League title

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has assured fans that his team will give their absolute best to defeat West Ham United and secure their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

As the season heads into its final matchday, City find themselves just three points away from lifting the trophy, with only David Moyes’s West Ham standing in their way.

City currently lead the table, with Arsenal trailing by two points. Arsenal must beat Everton on the final day and hope for a slip-up from City to claim their first Premier League title since 2004.

Should City draw against West Ham and Arsenal secure a victory, the title would be headed to North London.

Guardiola, determined to avoid such a scenario, expresed his team’s readiness and commitment ahead of the crucial match. Reflecting on the upcoming challenge, he said:

“We know what we need to do. We’d like to be 3-0 up after 10 minutes vs West Ham… but it will not happen. I have a feeling it will be like Aston Villa in 2022. We are ready. My players will never give up.”

Guardiola’s comments highlight the intense focus and determination within the squad as they prepare for the decisive encounter. The City boss is well aware of the stakes and has conveyed his confidence in his players’ ability to rise to the occasion.

The match against West Ham is expected to be fiercely contested, with both teams having much to play for. While City aim to secure the title, West Ham will be looking to finish their season on a high note.

As the final day approaches, all eyes will be on the Etihad Stadium to see if Guardiola’s men can once again emerge as champions.
