Hawks, Raptors and Timberwolves take Control in Game 3
Thursday night in the NBA playoffs brought three Game 3 matchups, and all three ended with home teams taking control of their series.
The Atlanta Hawks edged the New York Knicks 109-108 in a tough game to move 2-1 ahead. It came down to the final moments, with CJ McCollum hitting the decisive shot. Jalen Johnson added 24 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists, while Jonathan Kuminga contributed 21 off the bench.
The Toronto Raptors responded in their series, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 126-104 to avoid going 3-0 down. Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett both scored 33 points, leading an offensive display as Toronto cut the series to 2-1.
In the final game, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Denver Nuggets 113-96 to take a 2-1 lead. Ayo Dosunmu scored 25 points, and Jaden McDaniels added 20 points and 10 rebounds as Minnesota controlled the game throughout.
The Hawks and Timberwolves now lead their series 2-1, while the Raptors are back in theirs at 2-1 down.
