Heartland FC get boost in survival battle
Heartland FC have received a significant boost in their battle for survival in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season. SportsRation reports.
The boost follows news that the Nigeria Premier Football League board has granted provisional approval for Heartland FC to resume hosting their topflight matches at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
This decision comes after the league body had previously banned the use of the Dan Anyiam Stadium due to the poor condition of its playing surface.
Following an inspection carried out on Wednesday afternoon, the organizers have given their approval for the Naze Millionaires to return to their home ground.
This means that, Heartland FC wi;; host Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan on Friday, April 19, 2024 in a Matchday 31 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, marking their return to their familiar home turf.
With eight games to the end of the season, Heartland FC sit in 19th spot with a slim chance of survival.
