Henderson finally leaves Manchester United

After 12-years, six loan spells in the last eight seasons, England goalkeeper Dean Henderson has finally made a permanent move away from Manchester United FC.

On Thursday August 31, Crystal Palace FC announced the transfer of England International goalkeeper Dean Henderson from Manchester United FC.

The 26-year old England International spent the 2022/2023 season on loan at Nottingham Forest before returning to Old Trafford for pre-season.

With the exit of long-term first choice David De Gea, Manchester United FC ignored Henderson and spent big in the market for Camerounian goalkeeper Andre Onana.

In a bid to gain stability and first team football, Dean Henderson has now ended his Old Trafford stay with a switch to Palace where he will work under Former England manager Roy Hodgson.

The Eagles have signed him to a five-year contract. Although the transfer fee has not been announced, reports have indicated that Palace will pay United £20 million ($25 million) in addition to add-ons.

Reacting to his Crystal Palace transfer, Dean Henderson said ” I’m absolutely delighted and buzzing to be here. I can’t wait to get started. This club has got great fans and has a lot of top players who are hungry to succeed. “
