Henry Onyekuru eyeing domestic double after helping Galatasaray win Turkish Cup
Super Eagles forward has set his eyes on securing a domestic double this season after helping Galatasaray secure the Turkish Cup on Wednesday with their 3-1 win against Akhisarspor in the final.
The Everton loanee who scored two great goals during the Cup run has moved on from the cup success with his focus now on securing the league title.
A win against their closest rivals Istanbul Basaksehir when they meet this Sunday would surely seal the cup double and Henry is hyped for the clash.
The former Eupen striker who expressed gratitude to God revealed he just want to win another title.
“Cup Final Champions. All praises to God. The marathon continues – the big one on Sunday,” he tweeted in reference to the crucial league game against Basaksehir.
After 32 round of games with two games to the end of the season, both Galatasaray and Istanbul Basaksehir are tied with same points 66 but Gala ahead with superior goal difference.
If Gala win in the Istanbul derby this Sunday the domestic double is all but secured.
So far this season, Henry Onyekuru has netted 13 goals in the league and two goals in the cup.
