Henry Onyekuru on target as Galatasaray claim derby win to go top in Süper Lig

Henry Onyekuru was on target as Galatasaray beat rivals Besiktas in their Istanbul derby to go top of the Turkish Süper Lig.

The Super Eagles attacker scored his 13th league goal of the season as Galatasaray recorded a 2-0 win against Besiktas in a Turkish league game played at Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi Turk Telekom Stadium on Sunday.

The Everton loanee opened the scoring for his title chasing side in the 44th minute with a fine strike for his 13th league goal of the season.

Fernando scored the winning goal in the 54th minute to complete a 2-0 home win against Besiktas a result that has fired Gala to the top of the league.

Galatasaray now sit top of the log in Turkey with 63 points same as Istanbul Besaksehir who were at top of the league for many months with more than 10 points.

For Henry Onyekuru, the goal was his 13th of the season after 28 league games.
