How Dele Alli plans to revive his football career – Fabrizio Romano shares update
Dele Alli, the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, will start training with a new club next week as he tries to revive his football career. He will train with Italian team Como, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Alli, who has not had a club since his contract with Everton ended in June, was recently seen watching Como’s 2-0 win over AS Roma. After the match, Como’s manager, Cesc Fabregas, said that Alli could join the team for training after Christmas to help him get fit again.
Alli’s last competitive game was in February 2023, while he was on loan at Besiktas from Everton. At 27, Alli has had a successful career, winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award twice and earning 37 caps for England.
Though training with Como does not guarantee a contract, Alli will hope this opportunity leads to a fresh start. Como has struggled this season, winning only three of their 16 matches and sitting in 16th place, just one point above the relegation zone.
