How Edeh Loveth Reacted After Scoring Her First Goal for Edo Queens
Nigerian forward Edeh Loveth has made an immediate impact in her debut season with Edo Queens, scoring her first goal for the Nigerian Women’s Football League champions during a dominant 5-0 win over Abia Angels at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The match, which kicked off the league in style, saw Edeh, formerly of Bayelsa Queens, contribute to her team’s commanding performance.
The game started with a quick goal from Miracle Usani, followed by Emem Essien doubling the lead. Goodness Osigwe, Edeh, and Kafayat Mafisere all added goals, securing a comfortable victory for the defending champions.
After scoring, Edeh shared her emotions on social media, reflecting on her milestone and remembering her mother’s wise words:
“My mother once told me: ‘Nothing can destroy iron, only its own rust can… Thank God for my first league goal in the Edo jersey… My New Adventure, My New Home. GOD DID IT… It’s hard to stop someone who never gives up.”
Edeh’s message highlighted her determination and gratitude as she embarks on this new chapter of her career.
Edeh also featured in Edo Queens’ next match, where they triumphed 2-1 over Heartland Queens, with Goodness Osigwe scoring both goals for the team.
With two wins from two matches, Edo Queens remain unbeaten in their title defence, and Edeh will be hoping her new team can continue their success throughout the season.
