I am not replacing Stephen Odey – MFM FC new signing, Victor Mbaoma
MFM FC new signing, Victor Mbaoma has dismissed suggestions that he is at the club to replace Stephen. Odey, who bagged 18goals for the club before moving to FC Zurich.
The Olukoya boys finished second in the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season with Stephen Odey netting 18goals for the continental bound team, before the Striker sealed a move to Swiss side, FC Zurich.
Mbaoma who joined the Olukoya Boys from Remo Stars on loan made this known in an interview with newsmen after the triumph of the Southwest Preseason Tourney, after beating 36Lion in the finals at Agege Stadium on Friday.
“I don’t feel I’m replacing Odey (Stephen) because he has done his own part, and I’m also here to equally do my own part at the club,” Mbaoma said
Mbaoma also added that he is battle ready for the Super Six tournament.
“I’m very well prepared for the invitational tournament and hopefully by the grace of God, we will get something better from there.”
Mbaoma has since scored two goals in his last two matches for MFM FC.
