I Have No Regret Choosing Nigeria Over England – Lookman
Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman said he has no regrets choosing to represent Nigeria over England.
The 25-year-old switched his international allegiance to Nigeria in 2022 after representing England at the youth level.
He was born in Wandsworth, South West London to Nigerian parents.
Lookman was eligible to play for England and Nigeria, but he opted for the latter.
“I have no regrets, I took the right decision. This is my career,” he said.
“I always want to play for Nigeria and I’m proud of this. I was born in England, but my family is from Nigeria and I have a strong bond with both countries.”
He made his Super Eagles debut against Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off in Accra.
The former Leicester City star has enjoyed a productive season in the Serie A this season with 12 goals and three assists in 20 matches.
