‘I would like to see Osimhen in the Premier League’ – Thierry Henry

Legendary French striker, Thierry Henry says he would like to see the Napoli forward olay in the English Premier League next season.

At the moment, it is certain Osimhen will leave Napoli at at the end of this season, sparking discussions and comments from fans and pundits over the strikers next club.

Thierry Henry has advised Victor Osimhen to seek a move to a higher level following the Napoli striker’s goal against Barcelona in the Champions League.

Osimhen’s equalizer in Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona caught Henry’s attention, prompting him to offer advice to the Super Eagles center-forward on his next career move.

Speaking as a pundit on CBS Sports Champions League program, Henry emphasized the importance of Osimhen’s goal and challenged him to reach his full potential.

“I think he needed that today,” Henry said. “At the AFCON, we saw he can lead the line, he runs into the channels, he can hold the ball, and he is clever to understand how to roll defenders. I do think that he needed that goal.

“How good can he be? He showed last year what he could do, he won African Player of the Year along the way winning what he won with Napoli, even though he did not win the final against Ivory Coast with Nigeria.

“I would like to see what he can do in the Prem (Premier League) or Paris-Saint Germain. I don’t know where he is going to go, but I want to see him doing it every year. He did what he did to win the title at Napoli after the big man Diego Armando Maradona and it is something that will stay forever in history.

” All the best to you in your career,” the Arsenal legend remarked.

Osimhen’s goal against Barcelona was his first goal for Napoli since December 16 and his 13th goal for club and country this season. It ensured Napoli heads into the March 12 return leg level in the tie and also saw new boss Francesco Calzona avoid defeat in his first game in charge.
