Ighalo fires Al Hilal to victory with his 8th goal of the season
Odion Ighalo scored his 8th goal of the Saudi Arabian Pro League season to help Al Hilal to a 0-1 away victory over Al Ittihad on Thursday.
The Nigerian forward scored in the first of the keenly contested game to seal all three points for Ramon Diaz tutored Al Hilal vs Ittihad.
Their 12th game of the 2022/2023 season, the win takes Al Hilal up to third on the standings with 25 points, one less than top of the table Al Nassr who have played a game less.
The Saudi Arabian Pro League will come alive with more media attention and following with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
Ighalo’s Al Hilal are defending champions of the Saudi Pro League and are expected to push Al Nassr for the title despite the prescence of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
Former Manchester United man Odion Ighalo will also fancy the goal chase with Al Nassr number 7, the Nigerian 8 goals to the good already this term and one less of the leading goal-scorer.
