Ighalo scores his 20th goal of the season in Al Hilal win over Al Fateh
Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo scored his 20th goal of the season for Al Hilal in their Kings Cup 3-1 win over Al Fateh.
Odion Ighalo scored in the 86th minute to put the result beyond doubt at the Prince Faisal Bin Ahmad Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
Mohammed Kanno opened the scoring for Al Hilal in the seventh minute. Al Fateh fought back ten minutes later to draw level through Feral Al Britan.
Brazil’s Michael restored the lead for Al Hilal in the 87th minute of the match. Odion Ighalo named in the starting XI for this game, fired home the Al Hilal’s 3rd goal of the season.
At that moment, it was surely going to be a victory for Al Hilal, the scoreline reading 3-1 at the Full-time whistle.
33-year old Ighalo has scored 11 goals in 15 Saudi Arabia Pro League games to keep chase of Al Nassr forward Anderson Talisca on the goalscorers chart.
The 2019 AFCON Bronze medallist has nine other strikes to his name in other competitions this season.
