Iheanacho bags assist in Leicester City win, Ndidi starts, Onyedimma scores for Rotherham
Kelechi Iheanacho bagged an assist as Leicester City defeated Rotherham United 2-1 in the English Championship on Saturday August 26.
Iheanacho’s compatriot Wilfred Ndidi started for the Foxes while another Nigerian footballer Femi Onyedinma scored for Rotherham in the game at the ASSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Iheanacho set up Kasey McAteer for the game’s opening game in the 12th minute. The Super Eagles forward and was in action until the 59th minute when England International Jamie Vardy came on in his stead.
Ndidi was replaced by Cesare Casadei on 68 minutes.
Kassey McAteer completed his brace with six minutes to go for the Foxes to emerge 2-1 victors on the road trip.
Leicester City FC have maintained a 100% record this term and lead the English Championship standings with twelve points from four games.
Meanwhile, Rotherham sit in 21st spot after taking a single point from the opening four games.
