Iheanacho Praised for Dressing Room Impact at Middlesbrough
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been praised by his Middlesbrough teammate Tommy Conway for the positive influence he brings to the team.
The 28-year-old joined Boro from Sevilla in February, and after a slow start, he is now finding his rhythm in the Championship.
Speaking ahead of Middlesbrough’s crucial match against Norwich City on Saturday, Conway said Iheanacho’s arrival has brought fresh energy to the squad.
“He’s been great – Kel, from the moment he got here,” Conway told Gazette Live. “What people don’t see is the energy he brings into the dressing room every single day.”
“He’s always positive, always ready to talk or offer advice. With his experience in the Premier League and everything he’s achieved, it’s brilliant for a young player like me.”
Conway added: “He’s the kind of person you respect straight away. He’s a joy to play with and even better to share a dressing room with. He settled in quickly, and everyone took to him straight away.”
“I hope he can make a big impact in the final games, because I think he’s already done that.”
Middlesbrough are currently three points away from the play-off places in the Championship. A win against Norwich tomorrow, and another against Coventry next weekend, could help them secure a place in the promotion race.
