Iheanacho strike rescues Leicester from Burnley defeat
Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho scored an absolute beauty of a strike as Leicester City picked up a point in their 1-1 draw against Burnley at Turf Moor in the English Premier League.
Burnley had taken the lead through Czech striker, Matej Vydra after a loose pass from Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury inside four minutes set him free to score. It took a brilliant moment of Nigerian magic to draw Leicester level 30 minutes later as Wilfred Ndidi held on to the ball before releasing a perfectly weighted ball into the path of the running Iheanacho, who struck a first time volley past Burnley’s goalkeeper, Nick Pope. The strike was Iheanacho’s second in the league this season and it was just enough to prevent Leicester from slipping to consecutive defeats.
Leicester City have now picked up just one point from their last two games in the league as the chasing pack for Champions League football seem to be closing in on them.
