Ijebu United announces Interim Coach appointment: Michael Shoniregun takes charge

Following the recent departure of Coach Anthony Encho, Ijebu United FC’s management has swiftly appointed Michael Shoniregun to assume the role of head coach in an interim capacity.

Michael Shoniregun, renowned for his expertise as a shot stopper during his playing career, brings a wealth of coaching experience to the position.

Having previously served as the Head Coach at Almar FC, Lisabi United, and a stint with Vandrezzer FC, Coach Mike has been an integral part of Ijebu United since the 2021/2022 football season.

Fondly referred to as ‘Coach Mike,’ the new gaffer has not only displayed tactical prowess but also showcased unwavering loyalty to Ijebu United FC over the years.

The Management also expressed confidence in Coach Mike’s ability to lead the team during this interim period.

As he takes on this new responsibility, the entire club wished Coach Michael Shoniregun the very best of luck in steering the team to success in the Nigeria National League.
