Ikorodu City confirm head coach Bright Ozebagbe’s resignation
Ikorodu City Football Club has announced the resignation of their head coach, Bright Ozebagbe. He is the second coach to leave his job this season, following the dismissal of Lobi Stars’ head coach on Sunday, October 7, 2024.
The Oga Boys shared the news of Ozebagbe’s resignation on their X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday.
“Ikorodu City Football Club can confirm the resignation of Bright Ozebagbe as head coach of the team,” the club’s statement read.
According to the club, Ozebagbe submitted his resignation letter after their 1-0 defeat to Plateau United in Jos.
The club added that they will announce a new head coach in the coming days.
Ozebagbe played a key role in promoting Ikorodu City to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season. However, the team has yet to secure a win this season.
