iLOT surprise grassroot footballers with grand gesture

It was a weekend to remember for young players present at the Ebenezer Primary school at Egbeda LGA, Alimosho on Saturday as iLOT surprised the promising talents with a grand gesture.

iLOT, a gaming company based in Nigeria reached out to grassroots footballers in Egbeda with the aim of encouraging youthful prospects in the streets to make a career professionally in football.

It is no doubt that iLOT Nigeria is interested in the growth of football in the country and driving up participation in the sport.

Hundreds of fans were in attendance cheering, supporting, and making merriments as iLOT also offered free refreshments for the football-loving fans.

In the organized football games which involved other events, selected teams locked horns with notable brilliant performances. A couple of players got training packages while others when home with cash gifts.

One of the cash beneficiaries, Charles Olopade,  couldn’t contain his joy at the cash prize, stating it will go a long way in helping him actualize his dreams.

“I love playing football a lot,” says Charles

“I know I can become a superstar as well like Victor Osimhen. His journey from the street to the global stage inspires me and I know I can also do it.

“One major issue I have had over the years is getting my kits, things are expensive, but with this cash, I will be able to get a football boot and more jerseys.

“I can’t thank them enough, hopefully, when I achieve my dreams I can also do this to other people who need such help.

“I am grateful, thanks and God bless them.”

This is taking Corporate social responsibility to a new level and hopefully, more companies will emulate this kind gesture.
