Imad, Hafeez return to Pakistan ODI fold
Imad Wasim and Mohammad Hafeez have returned to Pakistan’s one-day international squad for the series with New Zealand, but Mohammad Amir is absent.
Pakistan on Friday named a 15-man group for the three-match series, with Imad and Hafeez – both of whom missed the Asia Cup – back in the mix.
Amir has been a regular for Pakistan in all three formats but has now missed out on each squad in recent weeks.
Although Sahibzada Farhan has featured in the Twenty20 series against Australia and the Black Caps, he has not earned a call-up to the 50-over side.
Former Pakistan captain Azhar Ali announced his retirement from ODI action on Thursday, while Shan Masood has been left out.
There are two T20 fixtures against New Zealand remaining this week before the ODIs get under way on November 7.
