Incoming Ghana coach set to get Bayern, Arsenal target for Nigeria after success with Odoi
Chris Houghton the Irish-Ghanaian coach who is reportedly set to be named Black Stars coach is eying a talented player who has been linked with Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
After reportedly convincing Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi to switch allegiance from England to Ghana, Houghton is said to be close to another big capture.
Although Chris Houghton is yet to be announced as Ghana head coach as Otto Ado is said to also be in contention.
According to reports from Ghana, Chris Houghton who was seen in a picture with Callum Hudson-Odoi father is also meeting with Tariq Lamptey father.
Tariq Lamptey and Callum Hudson-Odoi were former teammates at Chelsea before Tariq made his move to Brighton in search for regular football.
At Brighton, Lamptey has grown into a reliable full back that he has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Arsenal.
It is yet to be seen if Tariq Lamptey like Callum Hudson-Odoi who had played for England under aged teams will switch their allegiances.
If they do, they still need to be cleared by FIFA for Ghana. Should Ghana get both players they will terorize Eagles defence.
The Super Eagles will take on Ghana’s Black Stars in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 play-off round scheduled for the month of March.
