Injured Anderson and Wood out of Bangladesh tour
James Anderson has been ruled out of England’s tour to Bangladesh with a shoulder injury, while Mark Wood is also absent.
The news was confirmed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Thursday, ahead of the squad’s departure for the two-match Test series and three one-day internationals.
Anderson has been plagued by his shoulder problem since suffering a stress fracture in June, with Wood similarly troubled by a left ankle issue.
Steven Finn has been called up to the ODI squad and Jake Ball has been included in the Test line-up.

The ECB confirmed its selectors would consider a further addition to the Test squad.
Anderson is England’s all-time leading Test wicket-taker, with 463 to his name.
It is hoped both he and Wood will be fit for the five-Test tour of India, which starts in November.
