Insurance v Rangers clash to hold today after NRA Wednesday’s boycott
The rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League clash between Insurance and Rangers that was billed for Wednesday will now hold on Thursday.
The match between the group A table toppers and Insurance was billed for Wednesday but didn’t hold because the referees refused to show up.
According to various reports the Nigeria Referees Association refused to allow any of their referees officiate the match and threatened to always boycott all Insurance home games because of security reasons.
But a reliable source reveals that the league game will now go on today at the University of Benin Stadium.
Rangers who have been the best travellers this season winning back-to-back games on the road will be hoping for a result that will help increase their lead at the top of the group A table, while relegation threatened Insurance will be out to get all the points in the tie for safety.
