‘It Is Not Possible’: Amorim Says Arteta Wouldn’t Get Time at Manchester United
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believes Mikel Arteta wouldn’t have been given as much time to succeed at United as he had at Arsenal.
Amorim, who recently replaced Erik Ten Hag as United’s manager, has started strong with back-to-back wins against Bodo Glimt in the Europa League and Everton in the Premier League. However, as he prepares for his biggest test yet against Arsenal, Amorim shared his thoughts on the differences between the two clubs.
Amorim on Arteta’s Journey
Speaking about Arteta’s success at Arsenal, Amorim said:
“It’s always important for a coach to have time and trust, but Manchester United is different. The attention here is huge, and every decision is judged daily. That kind of patience may not be possible at United.”
Despite his comments, Amorim praised Arteta’s achievements:
“He’s done an amazing job at Arsenal, transforming the team and developing young players into top talents. Coaches are often judged on trophies, but what he’s built at Arsenal is incredible. I hope to show the same resilience he had during tough times.”
Big Test Ahead
Amorim will lead Manchester United against second-placed Arsenal, looking to prove himself against the very manager he admires. While he acknowledges the challenges of managing at a high-pressure club like United, he’s determined to make his mark.
Arteta’s journey has set a high bar, and Amorim knows he must deliver results quickly under the intense spotlight of Old Trafford
