Iwobi identifies consistency as solution to Everton struggle

Days after holding champions Manchester City at the Etihad, Everton suffered a humiliating 1-4 loss to Brighton and that makes Midfielder Alex Iwobi to point lack of consistency as reason for their struggles.

As per GOAL, Iwobi is confident in the quality within the squad and believes all they need to turn their season around is consistent performances to avoid being ” one minute good, one minute bad. ”

” I don’t think confidence is the issue. We showed how we can play vs Man City. We can’t be one minute good and one minute bad, we’ve got to be consistent. ” Iwobi said.

For a team fresh from a 1-1 draw at the Etihad vs Manchester City, Frank Lampard’s men were hoping to get a good result at Goodison park but the reverse was the case.

Brighton romped to a 4-0 lead before Demarai Gray scored from the spot for a consolation to a very dissapointing result, one that defines their campaign as the Toffees are yet again engulfed in a survival battle.

On a day Nigerian Midfielder Alex Iwobi was a shadow of himself, Frank Lampard will take pain to watch and find answers to how his team went from fantastic against City to the miserable sight vs the seagulls on Tuesday.

Super Eagles Midfielder Alex Iwobi did have a good chance to put his side ahead but had his effort hit saved by the Brighton goalie, a miss manager Frank Lampard did say would have changed the outcome.
