Iwobi in action as Everton honour Fan who helped fleeing Ukrainian refugees

Nigerian Midfielder Alex Iwobi was in action for 83 minutes as Everton played Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv in a game with my parts .

Everton Fan Paul Stratton was honoured on the night for his help to fleeing Ukrainian refugees in March 2022.

It was the last Pre Season game for Frank Lampard tutored Toffees and also an opportunity to raise funds and show solidarity to the people of Ukraine following Russian invasion.

Dominic Calvert Lewin opened the scoring for Everton before Dwight McNeil added a brace to a 3-0 official scoreline in the game tagged ” Match for Peace “.

Everton Fan Paul Stratton who is credited for travelling to Poland to effect deliveries and help fleeing Ukrainian refugees in March 2022 was brought on to score a Penalty as a way of honouring him and by extension everyone who offered humanitarian support to the Ukrainian people following the war with Russia.

A big moment it was for Paul Stratton as he he kissed the Everton badge in celebration after converting from 12 yards in front of 30,000 supporters at Godisson Park.

Pre Season ends for Alex Iwobi and his Everton teammates who will begin their 2022/2023 English Premier League season when they take on Chelsea next week.
