Iwobi reveals difference between Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche

Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi has revealed the one difference between Everton FC under Frank Lampard and current manager Sean Dyche.

On the latest episode of The Beautiful Game Podcast that had players offer insight into life under current Everton manager Dyche, Iwobi opened up the changes at the club under the new manager.

“He just wants us to work hard,” he said. “However you approach a game, you have to approach training the same.

“You have to run, treat every day like it’s your last sort of thing. It is good. We had to slowly buy into it.

“He doesn’t take any prisoners even if you’re not playing and you’re a sub or you’re not in the squad, he’s making sure everyone is on point, ” Iwobi concluded.

Bulk of Everton’s squad have spoken about Dyche as being stricter since replacing Lampard at Finch Farm.

Iwobi will return to action with the Toffees on Monday April 3 after starting Nigeria`s 2023 AFCON qualifiers vs Guinea-Bissau, the midfielder is expected to start again vs Tottenham as they continue their fight against relegation.
