Jack Grealish Names Lionel Messi as the Greatest Player of All Time

Man City forward Jack Grealish has settled the long-standing debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo by naming Messi as the greatest footballer of all time.

The 29-year-old recently returned to action for Manchester City after recovering from injury. He played a key role in their 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, helping Pep Guardiola’s side continue their impressive form.

During an interview with Manchester City’s media team, Grealish was asked to choose between Messi and Ronaldo. Without hesitation, the England international picked the Argentine superstar.

“The best player I’ve ever played against? Lionel Messi,” Grealish said. “For obvious reasons, you know. I played against him when he was at PSG, and I was at Manchester City in my first season. It was a pleasure just to be on the same pitch as him. Messi or Ronaldo? Messi.”

Messi and Ronaldo are widely regarded as two of the greatest players in football history. Both have won numerous trophies and shattered records throughout their illustrious careers. However, Grealish’s admiration for Messi stems from a personal experience of facing him on the field.

The debate over who is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) continues to divide fans and players, but Grealish’s pick adds to the long list of players who hold Messi in the highest regard.
