Javier Aguirre, Gernot Rohr speak on Nigeria friendly win against Egypt
The headcoahes of Super Eagles of Nigeria and Pharaohs of Egypt have given their remarks on the international friendly match played between the two countries at Stephen Keshi Stadium on Tuesday.
Paul Onuachu’s 6s strike settled the tie at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Tuesday and the coaches involved has given their bits about the game.
For Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, he was particularly pleased with his side’s display against a great team and title favourite.
“This was not a good match, it was a great match for us against one of the top favourites for the AFCON.”
While his opposing coach, Javier Aguirre wasn’t happy to have lost his first game since he became the new coach of the Egyptian national team.
He said he was pleased with the performance of his team against Nigeria even though it was the first loss he suffered since he took charge of the Pharaohs last year.
He said his target remains to win the forthcoming AFCON as hosts.
