Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell matches Wilt Chamberlain 58-year old record

Utah Jazz rookie is making a name for himself as he has already put himself in the same book as NBA great Wilt Chamberlain after matching one of his long-standing records.

Mitchell Donovan dropped 25 points with seven rebounds and five assists to help Utah Jazz who trailed by eight points entering the fourth quarter against the San Antonio Spurs to a 101-99 victory on Monday.

The rookie has been phenomenon for the Jazz who lost their key man Gordon Hayward to Celtics, he is averaging 19.5 per game this season and his effort has taken the Jazz (29-28) to a win short of the last team in the Western Conference playoffs cut.

The Jazz have won 10 consecutive games and rookie Donovan Mitchell has been the team’s leading scorer during the streak.

He’s the 1st rookie to lead his team in scoring during a 10-game winning streak since Wilt Chamberlain for the 1959-60 Warriors.(@EliasSports)
