Jhon Duran and Ronaldo Score in Al-Nassr’s 3-0 Victory Over Al-Feiha
Al-Nassr secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Al-Feiha in the Saudi Pro League, with new signing Jhon Duran making an impressive debut by scoring twice.
The Colombian striker, who joined from Aston Villa for €77 million (£64m), played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, who marked his 40th birthday with a goal.
Duran opened the scoring in the 40th minute. After Sadio Mane stole the ball in midfield, he found Duran in a crowded box. The quick-footed striker created space for himself and fired a shot past the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.
Al-Feiha threatened to equalise, but Duran doubled Al-Nassr’s lead in the 72nd minute. After another pass from Mane, Duran calmly placed the ball into the net. Ronaldo then added his 16th league goal of the season after being set up by Nawaf Boushal.
The win moved Al-Nassr into third place in the Saudi Pro League, eight points behind leaders Al-Ittihad.
Duran’s debut performance eased any doubts about his move to Saudi Arabia. The 21-year-old showed his quality with two well-taken goals, proving why Al-Nassr were keen to sign him.
Al-Nassr will face Al-Ahli on Thursday, February 13, as they aim to maintain their push for a top spot in the league and secure qualification for the Asian Champions League.
