John Ogu returns from injury, gives Rohr major boast.
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has been given a much-needed injury boost ahead of the Eagles games against Algeria and Argentina, with midfielder John Ogu returning to action on Sunday night.
Ogu had been struggling with his fitness since he picked up a quadriceps injury against Steaua Bucharest in the group stage of the Europa League on October 19.
The midfielder missed the next three matches played by the Israeli champions across all competitions.
John Ogu came through the game against Maccabi Petah Tikva unscathed, completing all ninety minutes, and is set to hit the Eagles camp in Morocco along with his good friend and teammate Anthony Nwakaeme.
Nigeria’s last competitive game of 2017 comes up against Algeria at Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui, Constantine on Friday, November 10.
