Jokic records triple-double on return as Denver Nuggets defeat Hawks

Nikola Jokic made his return to action for the Denver Nuggets in their 105-96 win over the Atlanta Hawks at the Ball Arena. The Denver Nuggets are now 8-4 after 12 matches in the NBA this season.

Jokic, who was ejected from the Denver Nuggets match against Miami Heat after shoving Markieff Morris, was handed a one-match ban in the aftermath of his clash with Morris. The reigning MVP made it back-to-back triple-doubles as he made a triple-double on his first game back.

Jokic finished with 22 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists for the Denver Nuggets, and Aaron Gordon contributed 23 points as they won the game.

Golden State Warriors continued their dominance as they defeated the Chicago Bulls 119-93 to improve their record to 11-1 for this season of the NBA. Steph Curry led the scoring for the Warriors with 40 points, four rebounds and five assists.

Minnesota Timberwolves stunned the Los Angeles Lakers 107-83 at the Staples Center to improve to 4-7 for the season. Karl-Anthony Towns led the scoring for the Timberwolves with 29 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

Dallas Mavericks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 123-109. Luka Doncic contributed a triple-double with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists for the Mavericks.

Phoenix Suns defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 119-94. Devin Booker contributed 17 points, five rebounds and seven assists, and Chris Paul recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 assists.

Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Sacramento Kings 105-103. Luguentz Dort and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 22 points each for the Thunder in the match.

Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Houston Rockets 104-92. Damian Lillard led the scoring for the Trail Blazers with 20 points, six rebounds and seven assists. CJ McCollum contributed 17 points in the game.

Brooklyn Nets picked up a 120-112 win over the New Orleans Pelicans away from home in the NBA. James Harden recorded 39 points and 12 assists, and Kevin Durant contributed 28 points.

Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 98-78. Darius Garland led the scoring for the Cavs with 21 points, two rebounds and seven assists in the game.

Boston Celtics picked up an OT 122-113 win over champions Milwaukee Bucks. Dennis Schroder contributed 38 points in the win, and Jayson Tatum finished with 27 points.

Charlotte Hornets defeated the New York Knicks 104-96 to go 7-7 in the division. Miles Bridges led the scoring for the Hornets with 24 points, four rebounds and four assists.
