Jolomi , Sholumade salute Paul Bassey following Flying Eagles WAFU B title Victory.

Two members of Akwa United Football Club, coach Alli Jolomi and defender Boluwaji Sholumade who were part of the victorious Flying Eagles (U-20) team at the just concluded WAFU B tournament have jointly appreciated the chairman of the club Elder Paul Bassey for his support to them while on national assignment in Niger.
The Flying Eagles’ assistant coach Alli Jolomi and defender Boluwaji Sholumade made a return to Akwa United’s camp and took part in the team’s training programme on Monday evening where they presented Super Eagles jersey and track suit to Elder Bassey.
Coach Jolomi expressed appreciation to the management of Akwa United for the show of love, encouragement and support given to him and Boluwaji Sholumade during their involvement with the national U-20 team.
“I want to say a big thank you to the chairman of Akwa United Elder Paul Bassey and the entire team for the support and encouragement we received while flying the flag of Nigeria with the national U-20 team. The support from Akwa United to us was massive and we don’t take it for granted.
“We are delighted to rejoin Akwa United after being away for some weeks. We are particularly happy that we are coming back as champions and we want to use this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to everyone at this wonderful club who wished us success and we pray for the success of Akwa United this season and beyond”.
Chairman of Akwa United Elder Paul Bassey congratulated coach Jolomi and Sholumade and described them as worthy ambassadors of the club.
“We are excited that the national U-20 team, the Flying Eagles emerged champions at the WAFU B tournament and have also qualified for the African Youth Championships.
“As a club, we want to specially congratulate the two of you for a job well done and also for flying Akwa United’s flag high at the tournament. It was a thing of joy and pride for us at Akwa United to see coach Jolomi and Sholumade representing the country at the national U-20 team. We pray for more opportunities for both of you and for other members of Akwa United at the national level, once again congratulations”.
The duo joined the rest of the team to prepare for their match-day 31 game against MFM on Wednesday.
