Jose Mourinho blames John Terry injury on ‘dangerous pitch’

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that the injury John Terry sustained at Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening was the result of a “dangerous pitch”.

The Blues skipper was substituted with an ankle strain after 72 minutes during his side’s 4-0 win over the Israeli outfit. “The surface was bad and dangerous,” BBC Sport quotes Mourinho as saying. “For John to leave the pitch with the score at 1-0, I know already that he is in trouble.

” Terry will undergo a scan to establish the extent of the injury, but Mourinho has admitted that his captain is unlikely to be fit for this weekend’s meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.
