Josh Okogie & Jordan Nwora star as D’Tigers beat Canada in Winnipeg

Coach Alex Nwora and his boys continued their preparation for the 2019 FIBA World Cup with another top friendly against Canada this morning.

After losing the first game 96-87 to Canada on Wednesday, D’Tigers were fully focused on winning and that they did in front of the Canadian fans.

NBA star Josh Okogie who recently switched his allegiance to Nigeria combined with Jordan Nwora to lead Nigeria into a morale boosting win.

The Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard had 15 points and 6 dimes while NCAA most improved player, Jordan Nwora led in points with 19 and 6 assists.

Dallas Mavericks Al Farouq Aminu was also in action.

The win concluded D’Tigers series against Canada.
