talks about settling down at Sporting Lagos
Sporting Lagos striker, Junior Lokosa has revealed why he didn’t celebrate his goals against Kano Pillars on Monday.
Kano Pillars were beaten 3-0 with Junor Lokosa scoring a brace and Jonathan Alukwu scoring his fourth goal of the season.
Junior Lokosa, who joined Kano Pillars in 2017 and became a goal sensation afterward, revealed to SportsRation in an interview how he felt after scoring the goals.
“I signed for Sporting Lagos to score goals, so I was primarily doing my job against Kano Pillars. I didn’t celebrate my goals because Kano Pillars was the team that made me and I will continue to respect the team. I fulfilled my Super Eagles dream through Kano Pillars.
“A lot of people have been saying it’s a slow start for me but one can only take chances when the opportunity comes. The most important thing for me is to help the team in every way possible.
“We needed to win at home considering our result in the last game.” Lokosa told Sportsration.
Lokosa also shared how well he is settling down with Sporting Lagos.
“I’m settling down well in Sporting Lagos because it’s my place of birth, so it’s quite easy to see familiar faces around in training and on Matchdays.”
Sporting Lagos will face Lobi Stars in Lafia on Sunday, for their Matchday 8 clash.
