Juventus and Real Madrid have crashed out of the 2019-20 Champions League in the second round after both clubs were eliminated by Lyon and Manchester City respectively.
The Italian side who were beaten by Lyon in France in the first leg knew at least a 2-0 score would take them to the next round but failed to keep a clean sheet on Friday.
Lyon from the spot kick opened the scoring but Cristiano Ronaldo equalised for Juventus from the spot kick before scoring a super goal to increase his side’s tally to two.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates did all they could but failed to find the wining goal, the match ended 2-1 in Italy and on 2-2 aggregate which means Lyon make the quarterfinal on away goal rule.
Similarly, the La Liga champions, Real Madrid had a difficult task of overturning a 2-1 first leg deficit in Manchester City but also failed to deliver.
Zinedine Zidane side were beaten 2-1 again in England to send the record Champions League winners out in the second round as City advance into the next round.
