Juventus set to sell £60m rated Bonucci to AC Milan for £35m
Juventus defender, Leonardo Bonucci, is set to complete a “shock” move to Serie A rivals, AC Milan.
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol confirmed that the transfer was close via his Twitter account on Thursday night.
He wrote: “Shock transfer of the summer. Juventus about to sell Bonucci – arguably best centre back in the world – to AC Milan for £35m.”
Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, had insisted that the 30-year-old will not leave the club.
Bonucci fell out with Allegri in February and was dropped for a Champions League game away to Porto.
The two men had apparently settled their rift, with the manager backing the him to take over as captain, when Gianluigi Buffon retires next year.
It is surprising how they will be selling the same player they demanded more than £50 million for from other foreign club’s interested in him few weeks back.
