Kai Havertz Says Joining Arsenal Was the Best Decision, Takes a Subtle Jab at Chelsea
Arsenal star Kai Havertz has said that moving to Arsenal was the best thing he could have done, taking a subtle jab at his former club, Chelsea.
Havertz joined Arsenal from Chelsea last season and has since become an important player for the Gunners. When he first arrived, he faced tough competition for the striker spot from Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard.
However, Havertz has proven himself as Arsenal’s top choice, starting 13 games and scoring five goals in the Premier League this season.
Talking about his time at Arsenal, Havertz told Sky Sports, “I enjoy it, every second. For me, it was the best thing I could have done. I’m so glad for the support and everyone who has helped me. I’ve just started, and I hope to continue playing well, win titles, and help the team win something.”
Havertz also discussed the Premier League title race, despite Liverpool holding a seven-point lead. He said, “We’re still in the early part of the season, and anything can happen. The Premier League is getting tougher every year. Liverpool have reached a very high level and are showing it every week, but there are still many games to play and points to get. We will definitely be ready for the fight.”
Arsenal will play Fulham on Sunday in a London derby, and Havertz will be looking to score more goals and help his team win all three points
