Kalu becomes sixth Nigeria int’l to join Watford
Watford FC have announced the signing of Super Eagles forward Samuel Kalu on a deal until June 2025 from French club FC Bordeaux.
Kalu is now the fifth Super Eagles player on the Hornets’ books following his move to the Vicarage Road.
The 24-year-old made his senior debut for Nigeria in September 2018. He has 17 caps for Nigeria and notably scored on his last competitive start for Nigeria against Benin.
Kalu started his professional career with AS Trenčín before moving to KAA Gent in 2017. He then joined Bordeaux in August 2018, where he made 86 appearances for the French side.
The dynamic left-winger, today, trained with rest of the squad following the recent appointment of manager Roy Hodgson. He will don the number 28 jersey.
