Karl-Heinz Rummenigge blames media for their role in Bayern Munich loses
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has attacked attacked media for condemning club’s oldest wingers; Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.
The German champions have come under heavy criticism after their poor start to the 2018-19 football campaign.
Bayern are winless in their last 4 games, currently 6th in the Bundesliga log with 4 points behind the leaders Borussia Dortmund and the clubs chief is amazed at the media sudden change after the recent poor results.
“The criticisms these two players who have spent a decade doing everything for the club are receiving is ludicrous. You the media who have praised a 33 year old’s transfer (Ronaldo) as the biggest deal of the year are flip floppers.
“Three weeks ago you journalists thought that we would go the whole season as unbeaten and wrote off the title already. Now after 4 bad games, which we acknowledge , you lot are going into crisis mode. You may have a lot of fun finally seeing us not being first, but we won’t allow this intense slander against our players.
“We will now use legal enforcements against journalists for their fake stories, such as the Tolisso injury that you created or the Sancho story. We will not allow fake stories anymore without prove.
“We accept criticism, and are very critical of ourselves right now. We accept the responsibility to get back to winning, but we won’t allow this fake slander anymore.”
