Katsina United hold Plateau to draw in NPFL tie

The first of the Matchday Six fixtures between Katsina United and Plateau United was moved from 7pm to 4pm as a result of visibility issues that came with the harmattan season in Katsina. The game went on in the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

Katsina United came into the game on the back of a defeat in Matchday Five, as Plateau came in riding on the wave of their 3 nil win over Adamawa United. It was Plateau United who did all the questioning, as they asked questions of the Katsina defence from the first blast of the whistle. It was however an exercise in wastefulness as Plateau United failed to convert a single chance, and the game ended goalless.

The point picked up by Plateau United lifts them up to 6th on the table, while Katsina United move up to 9th. Plateau United goalkeeper, Chinedu Anozie kept his fourth clean sheet in 5 appearances for the club this season, having missed the season opener against Kwara United.
