Kennedy Boboye appointed Technical Adviser of Heartland FC
Coach Kennedy Boboye will return to work following his appointment as Technical Adviser of Heartland FC of Owerri. SportsRation reports.
A two-time Nigeria Premier Football League winning coach at Plateau United FC and Akwa United FC, Boboye will succeed Christian Obi who was relieved of his job following a poor start to the season.
Heartland parted ways with Coach Christian Obi who led the club’s unbeaten run back to the NPFL but has only secured six points in nine games this season.
The Nazi Millionaires have not won a game in the 2023/2024 NPFL season, and sit in 20th place on the standings.
In their bid for redemption, vastly experienced Kennedy Boboye has been appointed as technical adviser.
His appointment was formally announced on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 via the club’s social media handle.

Boboye’s last club managerial role was at Akwa United FC of Uyo. After guiding the Promise Keepers to their first-ever NPFL title in the 2020/2021 season, a poor start to the 2021/2022 season led to his resignation.
During his time off club management, Boboye had a national team role and also took and completed a UEFA course with the Irish Football Association .
His first game will pitch Heartland FC vs reigning NPFL champions, Enyimba FC on November 26, 2023.
