Kennedy Boboye: My ultimate goal is to become Super Eagles Coach
Two-time NPFL winning Coach Kennedy Boboye has revealed handling the Super Eagles is his ultimate goal after completing a UEFA Course with the Irish Football Association.
A winner of Nigeria`s top-flight league with Plateau United FC and Akwa United FC, Boboye as quoted by Soccernet revealed his ultimate goal in football management far outweighs club football successes to winning Laurels at International level with the Eagles.
He said ” I have won the NPFL twice but my ultimate goal as a coach is to handle the Nigeria senior national team and help them to win laurels.”
“The only way you can be successful in coaching business is by upgrading yourself. This should be done at least every six months to stay up to date.
“Since I do not have any other business aside from coaching, then it was necessary for me to take this step as I always want to get better.
“One of my targets is to be one of the greatest coaches in Nigeria and Africa.” Boboye Said.
Boboye who is assistant coach of Nigeria`s U-23 Eagles also spoke of his targets and next move as he eyes a return to club football management next season.
“I am happy to have been here. It was one of the best career decisions I have made. Hopefully, I will return for my UEFA B license before this year runs out,” he continued.
“I have learnt a big deal here and you will see the changes in my next job.
“As it stands, I have about four NPFL teams who are keening on getting my service.
“So, when i return to the country soon, I will consider the options before to know my next destination.”
A former Nigeria Youth International, Boboye stepped into football management after his retirement from active football.
The former Akwa United Coach famously represented the likes of Fortuna Dusseldorf, KFC Uerdingen 05 and Manning Rangers during his active days.
