Liverpool Manager, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he didn’t see the dismal performance against Brighton coming and has called for instant response.
The Reds crashed to a 3-0 defeat against Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
“I had absolutely no sign for this performance before the game, but that’s probably how it is sometimes,” he claimed. Klopp said.
“There was nothing that I thought yesterday or this morning that it could happen.
“I knew it would be difficult against Brighton, but it’s not that they are always coming through with everything.
“We won balls, we had possession, but we lost the balls too easy – my god. Then you cannot be protected in these moments.
The former Dortmund manager has called for immediate improvement from his team.
“To improve from today should not be too difficult.”
Klopp also congratulated Brighton for a deserved win.
“Congratulations to Brighton, played a super game against a bad opponent,” he added.
“We were really not good today. We tried to help the boys with a slightly different formation. The organisation was completely wrong.
“It was too easy. A very deserved defeat and a well-deserved win for Brighton.”
Liverpool will hope to bounce back against Chelsea next Saturday at Anfield.
