Kudus Scores First Champions League Goals for Spurs in 3-0 Win Over Slavia Prague

Mohammed Kudus scored his first-ever Champions League goal for Tottenham Hotspur as they claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Slavia Prague on Tuesday night. The win boosts Spurs’ chances of finishing in the top eight while damaging Slavia’s hopes of reaching the play-offs.

Spurs started brightly and almost took the lead early on. Wilson Odobert made a fine run down the left and sent in a sharp cross that Richarlison met first time, but goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek reacted brilliantly to push it away. Stanek continued to frustrate Tottenham, denying Kudus from close range and stopping a powerful long-range effort from Richarlison.

Slavia Prague also had their moment, with Mojmir Sadilek heading over from a good position. However, Spurs took control in the 26th minute when Cristian Romero flicked on a corner and the ball struck defender David Zima before flying into his own net.

Five minutes into the second half, Tottenham doubled their lead. Youssoupha Sanyang blocked a Pedro Porro cross with his arm, and Kudus stepped up to take the penalty. The Ghanaian forward struck it firmly into the net, marking his first Champions League goal for the club.

Mathys Tel almost made it 3-0 seconds after coming on. He cut inside from the left and fired a low shot across goal, but Stanek once again made a strong save.

Spurs eventually found their third goal through Xavi Simons. The Dutch midfielder won a penalty after being brought down by Igoh Ogbu and calmly sent his low shot into the bottom-right corner.

The victory ends Tottenham’s recent poor run in Europe and puts them back in a strong position as the Champions League group stage enters its final rounds.
