Nasarawa United got their first win in four matches as they defeated Akwa United 2-1 thanks to a 90th minute winner. Nasarawa United took the lead early in the second half through Adamu Hassan before Akwa United captain, Ndifreke Effiong scored his 7th league goal of the season to draw his side level. The game looked destined to end 1-1 when Ebuka Anaekwe scored a 90th minute goal for Nasarawa United to help them gain all three points at the death.
